Credit default

The following action were filed by a credit card company for alleged default on credit card account.

Capital One bank, Glen Allen, Virginia, filed against Darryl J. Lightner, 251½ Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, seeking $3,500.80.

Judgment entered

Palmerton Community Ambulance Association, c/o Box 90301, Allentown, filed a judgment against Pamela J. Jones, 36 E. Ludlow St., Summit Hill, for $8,234.68 for services provided.

Accident suit

Jackie and Michael Gross, 20080 Atlantic Ave., Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for a minor child, filed a civil action against Michael Gosselin, as an employee of Duane Moyer Well Drilling, 336 Gilberts Hill Road, Lehighton, and against the drilling company, stemming from an automobile crash.

On Dec. 12, 2018, the plaintiff child was a front seat passenger in a vehicle operated by Jackie Gross, traveling northbound on the turnpike in near mile marker 85, in Carbon County. The defendant Gosselin, operating a truck owned by defendant Moyer Well Drilling Inc., also northbound, when a large piece of piping fell off the truck and landed on the roadway directly in the path of the plaintiffs’ vehicle. When the vehicle that the minor plaintiff was riding in struck the pipe, it caused the vehicle to fly up into the air and nearly roll over. As a result the minor child was violently thrown about the interior of the vehicle and struck her head on the passenger’s side door causing injuries detailed in the suit.

Negligence is alleged against the defendants and sought are damages in excess of the compulsory arbitration limit plus interest, costs and fees.
