Abby Pilla of Lake Hauto has graduated from Johnson & Wales University, Providence, Rhode Island, with a Bachelor of Science degree in culinary nutrition. A dean’s list student the spring 2020 term, she has accepted an athletic performance chef internship with the University of South Carolina.

Pilla is the daughter of Louise and Joseph Pilla of Nesquehoning. She is a 2016 graduate of Marian Catholic where she designed a food and nutrition guide for the school and its football team.
