West Penn Township supervisors took the following action last Tuesday:

• Approved a payment in the amount of $5,429 to Peter’s Painting for work done to the township’s municipal building and the township annex building.

• Granted conditional approval of the Miller & Rex subdivision plan contingent upon ARRO Consulting Inc., Schuylkill Planning/Zoning, and township sewage enforcement officer comments being satisfied.

• The West Penn Lions’ annual chicken barbecue dinner will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Due to social distancing guidelines, dinners will be pickup only at West Penn Park on Zion Stone Road.

• The 2020 Schuylkill County Fall Cleanup event will be held from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 14-18, 7-11 a.m. Sept. 19 at Tamaqua Transfer Station.

• A budget workshop will be held after the regularly scheduled Sept. 21 board of supervisors meeting.
