A quick response by Mahoning Valley firefighters may have saved a home Thursday evening in Mahoning Township. The call came in about 6:30 p.m. in a home along the 100 block of Keiser Lane. Reports from the scene were the fire was contained to the kitchen area of the dwelling. The Mahoning Valley ambulance responded to the scene standing by. Mahoning Valley fire police maintained traffic control at the scene.
