The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but be advised that road work schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:

Lehigh County

• Lehigh and Northampton counties: Route 22 line painting between the turnpike and Route 191, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Thursday.

• Allentown: Route 145/MacArthur Road inspection between Route 22 and Tilghman Street, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday; northbound lane restriction, 8:30 p.m. to midnight Friday; southbound lane restriction noon to 3 p.m. on Friday.

• Salisbury: I-78 West westbound lane restriction between Exit 57 (Lehigh Street) and Exit 55 (Route 29), 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. through Wednesday; I-78 East eastbound lane restriction between Exit 55 (Route 29) and Exit 57 (Lehigh Street), 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. on Thursday and Friday.

• South Whitehall Township: Route 309 lane restrictions between Walbert Avenue and Lime Kiln Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday; Route 309 lane restriction both directions for core boring work between I-78 and Route 22, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday.

Monroe County

• Tobyhanna, Tunkhannock, Jackson and Pocono Townships: I-80 East milling and paving between Exit 284 (Route 115) and Exit 293 (JCT I-380), through midnight on Oct. 31. Long-term lane restriction on I-80 East between mile markers 284 and 293. Expect delays and please use caution driving through the work zone. Work includes milling, concrete patching, joint cleaning and sealing, paving, guide rail updates and new pavement markings.

• Multiple townships: Route 33 South shoulder work/widening between Lehighton Exit and Northampton County line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday

Northampton County

• Bethlehem Township: Route 22 East inspection between Route 1919 and Route 33, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. eastbound on Wednesday and westbound on Thursday.

• Williams, Bethlehem, Lower Saucon: I-78 highway beautification between Exit 75 (To Route 611) and Lehigh County line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.

Schuylkill County

• Rush Township: Route 309 bridge repair between Tide Road and Grove Street, through midnight on Nov. 4.
