Traffic stop yields man wanted on warrant

State police at Fern Ridge said a traffic stop they made at 11:09 a.m. July 22 on Interstate 80 in Kidder Township resulted in them taking a man into custody who is wanted on Crawford County.

Police said they stopped the 2019 Nissan Altima and learned a passenger, Austin Currier, 28, of Albion, had an active warrant against him in Crawford for failure to appear in court. Police said he will also be charged for being in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

He was lodged in the Carbon County Correctional Facility, Nesquehoning, pending extradition back to Crawford County.
