The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, but schedules may change as needed during COVID-19 mitigation or due to changes in the weather:

Carbon County

• Nesquehoning Borough: Route 209 pothole patching between Route 93 and Route 54, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday to Friday.

• Lehighton/Mahoning Township: Mahoning Mountain Road lane restriction with flagging between Route 443 and Schuylkill County Line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Wednesday.

• Franklin/Lower Towamensing: Cherry Hill lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Route 209 and Fireline Road, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.

• Banks Township: Route 309 pothole patching between Schuylkill County line and Luzerne County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

• Penn Forest and Kidder townships: Route 903/Highway to Adventure lane restriction between Harrity Road and Monroe County line, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday.

• Jim Thorpe, Route 209 lane restriction with flagging in both directions between Route 93 and Route 903, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

Lehigh County

• Upper Macungie Township: Church Street road closure for utility trench restoration. Detour will utilize Moyer Road, Nursery Street, and Main Street. Construction between Lime Street and Old Route 22/Main Street, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Aug. 7.

Monroe County

• Stroudsburg: I-80 surveying between Exit 309 (Dreher Avenue) and Exit 302 (Route 33 to Route 209), 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

• Hamilton Township: Greenview Drive pothole patching between Route 209 and Business Route 209, 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday; Route 33 South bridge repair between Route 209 and Bossardsville Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; Route 209 North bridge repair between Business Route 209 and Route 33, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday; Green View Drive lane restriction for base repair between Business Route 209 and Neola Road, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

• Multiple townships: I-80 guide rail repair between Exit 293 (I-380) and Exit 309 (Route 209), 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Northampton County

• Bethlehem Township: Route 33 South lane restriction between Freemansburg Avenue and I-78, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; Route 33 South inspection between Freemansburg Avenue and I-78, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

• Lehigh Township: Route 248 drainage between Timberline Road and Northampton County line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday; Walnut Drive shoulder/widening between Twenty-First Street and Elm Road, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

• Various townships: Route 33 highway beautification between Route 22 and Monroe County line, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Schuylkill County

• Schuylkill County: I-81 line painting between Lebanon County line and Luzerne County line, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
