Woman charged with pointing gun at group setting off fireworks

Woman charged with pointing gun at group setting off fireworks A woman has been charged for pointing a gun at a group of people who were setting off fireworks in Rush Township.

Rush Township Police said that at 10:23 p.m. June 27, the department received a report of a person threatening individuals in the unit block of Hometown Avenue.

The complainant stated that she was setting off fireworks with family members and friends in that area when Regan Miller, 72, came walking up to them and confronted them about the fireworks.

Miller had what appeared to be a shotgun or rifle. One victim said Miller originally held the gun with the barrel pointed at the ground, but she then raised the barrel and pointed it directly at the victims and demanded that the group go back into the house.

Miller has been charged with four counts of terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.

A preliminary hearing will be scheduled by District Judge Stephen J. Bayer’s office in the near future.
