Carbon County Commissioners, on Thursday, acted on the following items:
• Approved cooperation agreements with Family Promise for two actions, the 2018 Community Development Block Grant in the amount of $50,000 and the LSA grant contract in the amount of $30,000. Both grants are being used to purchase the former St. Francis of Assisi Church in Nesquehoning to be used as the new site for the organization.
• Approved the change order with APM Construction Inc. of Lansford for the Ginder Field Rehabilitation Project, building, in Summit Hill, under Community Development Block Grant funds. The contract increases $5,000 to $110,650.
• Approved an agreement between the county treasurer’s office and the Pennsylvania Game Commission relative to the new Pennsylvania Licensing Software system. This action replaced the previous contract dated Oct. 30, 2008.
• Opened the sole bid for the Carbon County Correctional Facility Water Storage Tank Maintenance project. The bid, submitted by Mid Atlantic Storage Systems Inc. of Washington Courthouse, Ohio, was, $156,592. The bid was tabled for two weeks so it could be reviewed by the county engineer.
