Nesquehoning residents can now pay their water bills online.

On Wednesday, borough council President David Hawk announced that the borough water authority will now begin accepting payments online. The borough has had an online bill payment option for sanitation and sewer, but is adding a second online payment link for water bills.

RoniSue Ahner, borough secretary-treasurer, said it is on the borough website, but residents just need to make sure they are clicking on the Nesquehoning Borough Water Authority link when going to pay their bills.

In a related matter, the borough office may begin opening its doors to the public again on July 6.

Council voted to extend waiving the penalty fee for sanitation/sewer bills through the end of June. It will resume in July.
