Fern Ridge state police report on crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes:

• On June 17 at 7:54 p.m. a crash was reported on Frable Road in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Abigail J. Hasara, 21, of Stroudsburg, was southbound driving a 2003 Kia Spectra and approaching a left-hand curve. She noticed a vehicle stopped on the right shoulder and her vehicle went off the road and struck a tree stump. The vehicle was damaged on the front fender, side passenger door and the undercarriage.

No one was injured but the vehicle was towed from the scene. Hasara was cited for the crash.

• A two-vehicle crash happened at 8:38 a.m. on June 10 along Merwinsburg Road in Chestnuthill Township. The two drivers were identified as Brooke C. Magill, 29, of Kunkletown, driving a 2017 Hyundai Elantra, and Anthony J. Boyle, 40, of Albrightsville, driving a 2019 Nissan NV2500. No details of the crash were provided by troopers.

• Two vehicles were damaged in a collision at 1:19 p.m. June 7 on Route 209, in front of the Dollar General Store parking lot, Chestnuthill Township. No one was injured.

Police said a 2015 Chrysler Town and Country minivan operated by Warren Malick, 58, of Lehighton, was entering the highway without the driver making sure it was safe to enter, when it was struck on the rear driver’s side by a 2001 Subaru operated by Valara Hartman, 89, of Kunkletown, who was southbound at the time and was unable to stop in time.

Police said the van had disabling damages while the Subaru received minor damages.

• Two people had minor injuries in a crash at 3:43 p.m. June 6 at the intersection of Route 715 and Sterling Road in Jackson Township.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Bret D. Schundler, 61, and Hans O. Schundler III, 21, both of Jersey City, New Jersey, were the injured parties.

Police did not provide any information on the crash, but said Bret Schundler was driving one car, a 1999 Jaguar, while the other vehicle was being driven by Bree K. Fernandez, 18, of Kunkletown, who was not injured.
