Rush township applies for light grant

Rush Township supervisors Thursday acted on the following business:

• Ratified the county’s petition to change the polling location for the June election from the municipal building to the Hometown Fire Company.

Chairman Shawn E. Gilbert also suggested they permanently move the voting district.

• Passed a motion to apply for an Automated Red Light Enforcement Grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the emergency pre-emption improvement to intersection Route 309 and Route 54.

• Approved the Permanent Easement Agreement offered by St. Jerome Regional School Charitable Trust for a portion of 50 Meadow Avenue for the installation of an underground stormwater drainage system.

• Back Street was recognized as a public road in Rush Township.

• Administrative offices will be closed on Monday, July 6.
