Mrs. Marie E. Mayer was elected and installed as president of the Palmerton Concourse Club at last evening’s meeting in the First United Church of Christ, Palmerton.

Other officers who will serve with Mayer are Mrs. John Campbell, vice president; Mrs. Fred Schanstine, recording secretary; Mrs. Harry Snyder, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Conrad Samuelson, treasurer; and Mrs. Marvin Foley, parliamentarian.

Mrs. J.J. Mikatavage, a club member and newly elected president of the Carbon County Federation of Woman’s Clubs, was the installing officer. Seventy-five people who attended the event were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Jim Tucker, who presented folk songs. Both are students at Moravian Seminary.
