Two facing DUI, drug charges after McAdoo traffic stop

Two people are facing charges after McAdoo police made a traffic stop at 12:39 a.m. March 8 in the borough.

Police said Christy Corbin, 40, of Greentown, and Loriann Azar, 56, of Shenandoah, were charged after the car was stopped for multiple violations.

Police said Corbin, who was driving the car, showed signs of impairment during field sobriety tests.

A consent search conducted by the officer yielded a glass pipe with burn marks on it on Corbin’s person.

During a search of the vehicle, a second glass pipe with burn marks on it was found under the passenger seat where Azar was seated.

After blood tests, Corbin was found to have methamphetamine and cocaine in her system, resulting in her being charged with three counts of DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and three summary offenses.

Azar was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
