Sedona crashes into stone fountain

The female driver of this Kia Sedona lost control on Burger Hollow Road around 2:30 Friday afternoon. She and the family dog were the only ones in the vehicle. According to a witness who lives on Burger Hollow Road, the driver left the road, hit the side of a large rock, and came to stop in the fountain located at intersection of Burger Hollow Road and Short Ridge Drive. The witness r helped the driver from her vehicle and made sure she was OK. State police at Lehighton is investigating. Barry Borger towed the vehicle to the driver’s residence nearby. The property owner estimates $5,000 in damage to the stone fountain. A local mason had built the fountain.
