Christina Obrecht, President of Crusaders for a Cause, has announced after consulting with the ride company, the vendors and members, that the 14th annual Spring Carnival in Palmerton scheduled for May 14-17, has been canceled due to the current health concerns and safety to the public.
The carnival has donated over $30,000 to various groups and charities over the past 14 years and are sad to say this will not happen this year since the group is now operating at a loss due to the expenses paid so far such as advertising, insurance, entertainment expenses, office costs, etc.
“We were hoping for a very good year since we had live entertainment scheduled for most of the nights of the event and hope to get them all back for next year,” she said. “This was always a big event to kick off the summer season in Palmerton. We hope everyone stays safe and healthy in the coming months and hope to see you all at next year’s spring carnival.”
