Under guidance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, LANTA is posting signs on all buses and paratransit vans, as well as using social media and other public communications recommending riders wear masks while riding LANTA services.
“The Department of Health strongly recommends the use of masks, bandannas, or scarfs to cover one’s nose and mouth when riding transit in Pennsylvania,” said LANTA’s Executive Director Owen P. O’Neil. “We are doing all we can to inform riders,” he added.
LANTA bus drivers are currently separated from the public by a Plexiglas shield. Drivers have also been issued cloth surgical masks.
