The Carbon County Commissioners on Thursday acted on the following items:
• Approved a contract for consulting services with Michael Baker International Inc. of Philadelphia to update the Carbon County Hazard Mitigation Plan at a cost not to exceed $44,895.
• Approved an amendment to the fiscal year 2019 State Homeland Security Grant between the state, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency and the Northeast Pennsylvania Regional Counter Terrorism Task Force. The action adds Luzerne and Wyoming counties to the list of task force members. Other members include Carbon, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike, Susquehanna and Wayne counties.
• Opened bids for a Community Development Block Grant project in Franklin Township that will provide drainage improvements to Red Hill Road.
