Man charged with threatening to kill woman with knife

A Slatington man has been charged for threatening to kill a woman with a knife.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Michael Concilio of the Slatington Police Department:

At 5:21 p.m. Tuesday, Concilio was dispatched to a domestic disturbance involving a man holding a knife and threatening to kill a woman.

The woman identified the man as Michael Moser, 44, and said she was able to get the knife from him.

When Concilio arrived on scene, Moser was in the back bedroom intoxicated, lying on an inflatable mattress in the rear bedroom.

Moser responded to commands to come out of the room and was taken into custody.

Concilio saw a blue glass pipe with residue and a torch lighter, commonly used to smoke methamphetamine, on the night stand in his room.

The woman told police that Moser threatened to kill her on Monday, but on Tuesday threatened to kill her with a knife in the kitchen area.

Concilio recovered a silver-handled knife from the kitchen area, and the victim said that Moser had been drinking heavily for two days due to him losing his job.

Moser faces charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently incarcerated in the Lehigh County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail, and is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Tuesday in Allentown Central Court.
