CACPAC accepting applications for its Good Samaritan award

The Christian Action Council of Palmerton Area Churches is inviting high school seniors from member churches to apply for the Good Samaritan Scholarship.

This award will be given to a graduating senior from any public, private, charter, parochial or home school program. The senior must be an active member in good standing of a CACPAC participating church.

Students should check this status with respective churches and have them send a note of your standing in your church.

The award committee will complete the interviews and determine the best recipient who demonstrates all the qualities of a Good Samaritan as demonstrated by selfless service to church life, community and school.

Nominations/requests for the Good Samaritan questionnaire applications need to be submitted to the committee.

Names/requests for applications can be sent to either Susan Arner, 459 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton PA 18071 or Susan Steigerwalt, 241 Princeton Ave., Palmerton PA 18071.

The deadline for requesting questionnaires/applications is Friday.

Member churches are Blue Mountain Community Church, Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Faith Alive United Methodist Church, Bethany Wesleyan Church of Palmerton, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Living Hope Lighthouse, Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, St. John’s Episcopal Church, St. John’s Lutheran Church, St. John’s United Church of Christ, St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Salem United Methodist Church and Trinity Lutheran Church.
