Groups to carol outside Lehighton Hi-Rise

Imagine being serenaded by the melodious sounds of Christmas carols wafting through the air.

Fortunately for residents of the Lehighton Hi-Rise, they don’t have to wait much longer for their Hallmark moment.

As part of a collaboration, members of the Lehighton Area Pool Pals, Lehighton Downtown Initiative, and Main Street Steering Committee will sing Christmas carols outside the Hi-Rise from 5:30-6 p.m. Sunday.

The joint initiative to support the town caroling will take place on the patio outside the Hi-Rise, according to Mark Hoffman, chairman of the Lehighton Area Pool Pals.

“In an effort to support the town caroling taking place this coming Sunday, I would like to promote this as not only caroling to the Hi-Rise. but also to support the entire Christmas feeling that is happening within our town,” Hoffman said. “The caroling (will) take place on the patio outside the Hi-Rise, which (will) allow as many townspeople as possible to join in either on the patio or perhaps on First Street looking down on the patio.”

Hoffman said the caroling will wrap up in time for bingo at the Hi-Rise, which will begin at 6 p.m.
