Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived in Tamaqua from the North Pole on Friday, led by the Tamaqua police department. Since there was no snow on the ground, the Claus couple opted to ditch their sleigh and instead arrive in a spiffy 2017 Camara driven by Bob Malay of West Penn Township. However, Santa and his sleigh will be at Depot Square Park on Saturday from 3 to 7 p.m., part of a full day of activities associated with the Tamaqua Spirit of Christmas Festival. DONALD R.
