Man charged with trespassing on family’s property

A Tamaqua man has been charged with trespassing on his family’s property.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by patrolman Michael Weaver of the Tamaqua Police Department:

At 7:31 p.m. Oct. 21, the victim came to the borough police department to make a trespassing report.

The victim said that between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Oct. 19, Kranch entered onto a wooded property on Owl Creek Road that is owned and occupied by the victim, who informed Blair Kranch, 73, of the 100 block of Owl Creek Road, that he was not allowed to be present on the property.

Kranch then made threats toward family members, stating, “people have accidents all the time when hunting.”

Kranch was informed by both the owners of the property, as well as Tamaqua Police Department on May 2, 2015, that he was not to enter or remain on the property.

Kranch faces charges of agricultural trespasser when ordered not to enter and criminal trespass/simple trespasser.
