The Tamaqua Community Arts Center has announced upcoming events.

• Saturday: Beginners Photography Class with Maritza Reinbold, 9 a.m. to noon. Participants will learn about aperture, ISO, shutter speed, depth of field, composition and more. Bring your own DSLR camera with interchangeable lens. Reservations required.

• Aug. 4: Paint & Sip with Wayne: This Old Barn, 6 to 9 p.m. There is a fee, which includes all supplies. You provide your drink for the evening.

• Aug. 7: Fashion & Travel: The Work of Anita Huber, 6 to 8 p.m. A free gallery reception with a chance to meet the artist.

• Aug. 16: Liz Russo, Paul Spratt & Raj Belani present a night of Stand-Up Comedy. 8 p.m. There is a fee. Mature content and strong language. Event is for adults 18 & older. This is a fundraisers for Hope & Coffee & Tamaqua. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
