A man was injured Monday afternoon when involved in a bizarre crash along Route 54 in Rush Township. The crash occurred about 5:30 p.m. as he was driving east about a half mile east of the Hometown intersection. F0r some unknown reason he made an abrupt left turn crossing over a lawn and through the wall of a home. His came to rest halfway into the garage of the dwelling. 

Responding was the Hometown Fire Company with their fire police maintaining traffic control at the scene. The victim was treated at the scene by members of the Tamaqua ambulance and Lehighton paramedics before being transported to a local trauma center.
