Panther Valley Bus trip

Friends of Lansford Recreation is hosting a bus trip to New York City for a day on your own on July 13.

The bus will depart from the Lansford Pool parking lot at 7 a.m. and from New York City at 7 p.m.

Cost includes drinks and breakfast snacks.

Nesquehoning

Historical society

The Nesquehoning Historical Society will be hosting an indoor yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The sale will also be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 21 and 22. A wide variety of clothing and gently used household items will be available for purchase.

The Baking Ladies of Saint Katherine Drexel will also be serving up halupki and halushki along with a wide variety of hot dogs, barbecue and other baked goods.

The Nesquehoning Historical Society is located at 157 W. Railroad St. in the former Nesquehoning Baptist Church.

All of the society’s events are open to the public and free of charge, but donations to support the Nesquehoning Historical Society are accepted.
