2019 primary election: Ballot positions are drawn for Carbon primary

The official casting of lots to determine ballot positions in the May 21 primary election was held on Wednesday morning in the Carbon County Administration Building, Jim Thorpe.

Presiding at the selection process were William J. O’Gurek, Gerald Dotter and Myron Tarapchak, who make up the 2019 Carbon County Board of Elections.

Positions were drawn for each of the contested races in which there are more than one candidate.

The results of the process is as follows:

Democrats

Commissioner (vote for 2): 1. Robert “Bob” Jacobs; 2. Rocky Ahner; 3. Shawn Kresge.

Beaver Meadows Council (vote for four): L. Alfred J. Mitcho Jr.; 2. Anthony A. Rusnock; 3. Martha Steber.
