The Carbon County Art League welcomed new members to its board for the new year. Officers and board members for 2019 are: President, Sarah Binder; vice president, James Emert; secretary, Claudia Ebbert; and board members: Carla Binder, George Dennis and Lynn Hontz.

The league is still looking for a treasurer.

At its last meeting, the league thanked the current and future board members for volunteering their time to help create awareness for the arts in Carbon County, with a special thanks to Wayne Yurchak, Mary Anne Shafer, Cheryl Popek, Dave McGeehan and Carla Binder, who contributed significantly to the CCAL in 2018.

The Carbon County Art League is a nonprofit organization supporting the arts and artists in and around Carbon County. Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month. Membership is encouraged but the public is welcome to attend any meeting and learn more about the art community in the region.
