Schuylkill commissioners approve personnel moves, appointments

During a workshop meeting Wednesday, the Schuylkill County Commissioners approved the following personnel changes:

Michael Wall, Mahanoy City, promoted to telecommunicator 3 for 911/Communications. His hourly rate will be $14.72, as per union contract.

Gretchen Garrity, Pottsville, was appointed to Fiscal Officer 1 for Children and Youth. Her salary will be $47,437 yearly.

There were three changes in the Clerk of Courts. Veronica Kneal, Hegins, resigned from Clerk III. Andreah White, Ryan Township, was promoted to Clerk III, at a rate of $13.47 per hour. Rebecca Akins, Tamaqua, was appointed to Clerk II at a rate of $11.76 per hour.

The commissioners also appointed the following people to serve on advisory boards:

Office of Senior Services, three-year term; Mary Labert, McAdoo, and Judge James Reiley, Pottsville.

Schuylkill County Industrial Development Authority, three-year term; David Donlin, Pottsville and Martin Brophy, Shenandoah.

Schuylkill County Housing Authority, five-year term; Mary Beth Dougherty, Girardville.

Planning Commission, four-year term; John Malinchok, Frackville, David Sattizahn, Pine Grove and Michael Vigoda, Pottsville.

Zoning Hearing Board, five-year term; Eric Seitzinger, Orwigsburg.

All the appointments were unanimously approved by the commissioners.
