November 20, 1942 — Two long touchdown runs by Donald Becker helps Tamaqua cruise to a 24-0 victory over McAdoo in its season finale. Becker, on a double reverse early in the third quarter, breaks free for a 75-yard score. He adds a 37-yard tally in the fourth frame to seal the win. The Blue Raiders, coached by Charles Shaeffer, also receive a pair of touchdown runs from Billy Abromitis, who opens the scoring with a 2-yard TD run in the second quarter and reaches the end zone again in the third frame.
