Mixer to benefit scholarship fund

The Carbon Chamber & Economic Development Corporation and Carbon County Women in Business will host a mixer in honor of Anastasia Susko from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Harry Packer Mansion in Jim Thorpe.

Ana, who passed away at 8 years old from a rare form of brain cancer, DIPG, was known for her fearlessness and compassionate attitude.

A memorial scholarship in her honor helps graduates of Jim Thorpe High School, as that is where Ana would have graduated.

There will also be food tastings by restaurants like Notch Eight Craft House, chair massages by Jim Thorpe Massage & Wellness Studio, a cash bar, prizes and more.

To register, www.carboncountychamber.org or call 610-379-5000.
