The Lehighton bypass, Route 209, was closed Sunday afternoon due to a crash.

The crash occurred at 3 p.m. one of two cars traveling north veered to the left, hitting and snapping off a utility pole carrying high power lines and a transformer.

Lehighton police are investigating the incident.
