Spring is coming — really! Top 13 things to do at the Philly Home + Garden Show

he rain and warmer days we’ve had have spurred thoughts of spring, which is good timing for the Philly Home + Garden Show which opens today and runs through the weekend.

The event takes place at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave. in Oaks. Hours are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The home and garden show will offer a mansion-sized amount of events, features and vendors. To be sure you make the most of your time, organizers have provided a list of the top 13 features you should focus on this year.

1Get up close and personal with HGTV celebrities

Paige Davis, the host of the infamous TLC show “Trading Spaces,” is coming to town to share what it’s like to be the star of an Emmy Award winning show, as well as what design trends and tricks she’s learned throughout her career on broadcast television.

Local DIY Network host of a new show, owner of Hestia Construction and team leader of The Street Group at Space & Company, Rachel Street will also share her insight, having been a professional in each aspect of home financing, building, buying and owning.

Now turned network personality, this Philly girl is here to give you a peek into buying, renovating and decorating trends.
