Windshields damaged in Polk, Eldred townships

State police at Lehighton are investigating three criminal mischief incidents that happened earlier this month in Polk and Eldred townships.

In the first incident, police said someone smashed the rear windshield of a vehicle parked in a driveway on the 100 block of Birdie Way, Polk Township. It happened between 10 p.m. Dec. 20 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 21. Someone also shot a paintball gun at the residence of the victim, a 48-year-old male from the township. Three paintball markings were left on the side of the residence, police said.

The second incident happened between 10 p.m. Dec. 20 and 11 a.m. Dec. 21 on the 600 block of Kunkletown Road, Eldred Township. The victim, a 74-year-old woman from the township, told police someone smashed the rear windshield of a vehicle parked in the driveway of her residence and then shot a paintball gun at the residence, leaving eight paintball markings on the front of the home.

In the third case, police said a Gilbert man reported someone smashed the windshield of his vehicle while it was parked in the 600 block of Mountain View Drive, Polk Township, between midnight Dec. 20 and midnight Dec. 21.
