A new GriefShare Support Group is starting in Penn Forest Township for those who are dealing with the loss of a spouse, child, close family member or friend.

The support group can help those who need someone to talk to who understands what they are going through.

The weekly sessions include a DVD presentation, a time for discussion and the use of a workbook.

The program is biblically based and nondenominational. The facilitators are people who have experienced grief and wish to help others.

The first group meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Grace-St. Paul’s UMC, 40 Church Road, Jim Thorpe, next to Bear Mountain Butterfly Sanctuary.

Sessions run for 13 weeks and you can join in at any time.
