A helping hand for police

Abraham Greenley, 5, of Tamaqua, donated water and candy to the Tamaqua Police Department, with Chief Rick Weaver accepting on behalf of the department. Greenley, the son of Melissa Latham, wants to be a police officer when he grows up. He also wants to be a singer and has plenty of time to determine how he will accomplish both goals. He told Chief Weaver the water was "to keep the officers from getting dried out" and the candy was for "when they needed extra energy." KATHY KUNKEL/TIMES NEWS
