Area youth from throughout Schuylkill County are invited to audition to be in the show "SHREK Jr., The Musical." Auditions will take place Saturday,at the United Presbyterian Church hall located on Third Street in Pottsville off of Mahantongo Street.

Auditions are open to girls and boys in grades 1-12. The producer is Sandy Kost-Sterner.The show includes 30 singing and speaking roles plus an ensemble. Experienced performers, including high schoolers, are encouraged to audition. All roles are open.Those who would like to take part in the show should attend the auditions between 9 and 11 a.m. All those who audition will be part of the show. No prior experience is necessary, just the willingness to learn, work as a group and have fun.The show will take place at the DHH Lengel Middle School auditorium in Pottsville from Oct. 20-22.Preregistration is recommended.
