Frackville State Police

State police at Frackville reported on the following incidents.

• State police said John Tiley Stiles II, 30, of Port Carbon, showed up at a residence in the village of Cumbola, Blythe Township at 1:30 p.m. Saturday and refused to leave despite repeated instructions to do so. Troopers said Stiles and a resident of the home had a domestic relationship at one time. Stiles will receive a citation in the mail for criminal trespass from the office of District Judge David A. Plachko, of Port Carbon.• Police said a 33-year-old woman from Zion Grove located a rental property in Scranton via the Trulia.com website. She contact the alleged owner, who provided bogus information but convinced her to wire $800 to him at an address in San Antonio, Texas. The victim then discovered that the listed number was a scam and the rental property was actually owned by another person.• Troopers said someone sprayed paint on the pickup of a 51-year-old resident of High Road in Park Place, Mahanoy Township, at 2:30 a.m. Friday, then fled the scene. Troopers believe there was more than one person involved and that they fled on all-terrain vehicles. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300,• State police were summoned toa Wood Street location in Blythe Township, Cumbola, at 3 p.m. July 18 to investigate an incident of harassment.Police said Keeray Jameel Thomas, 22, of St. Clair, threw a half-full can of beer at a 21-year-old woman. He will be cited for harassment.• Joseph Richard Angst Sr., 51, of Shenandoah, went to the home ofa family member on Valley Street in New Philadelphia, at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, which violated a PFA order the family member had against Angst. Angst was arraigned by on-call District Judge David Rossi, of Tremont, on a charge of indirect criminal contempt. He was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post $5,000 straight cash bail.
