Wine on the Mountain

The Lehigh Valley Wine Trail's annual wine festival, Wine on the Mountain, returns to Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe for its 14th year from noon to 5 p.m. July 22-23.

The event features wine tastings and sales by the glass, bottle and case from eight wineries, and light fare available for purchase from Roadies Restaurant.The venue offers panoramic views from its large open-air deck. It is a rain-or-shine event since it is held inside Penn's Peak.Participating wineries include:• Amore• Blue Mountain• Franklin Hill• Galen Glen• Shade Mountain Winery & Vineyards• Tolino• Vynecrest• The Winery at WilcoxLocal artisans will display wine-related arts and crafts in booths on the balcony of Penn's Peak.There will be live musical entertainment with Robert Michaels performing on Saturday, and the bands The Acoustikatz and The Day Rubies performing on Sunday.Advance tickets areavailable at a discounted rate and are available online and at participating wineries.Tickets will be available at the door.
