Hillclimb highlights track star's speed

What do the Weatherly Hillclimb and Weatherly High School student Emily Zoscin have in common?

The answer is speed. The Hillclimb is about how fast drivers climb Buck Mountain Road.Zoscin's speed is demonstrated in high school track and field. On Sunday, Zoscin was honored at the Hillclimb for her running accomplishments.Weatherly Mayor Tom Connors told the gathering of several hundred people that Zoscin ran the 100-meter dash and finished as District 11 Champion and 13th overall in her division in state competition."She's the first person in Weatherly school history to accomplish this," he said, which is especially significant because Weatherly High School doesn't have a track team.Zoscin, a sophomore, was given a ride on the Hillclimb race course in a red sports car after her introduction. She was one of two people honored at the Hillclimb. The other was Mike Leib, owner of Weatherly Casting and Machinery Company for allowing his 31 acres of property to be used for the event.
