Dr. Lindsay Mattalyn Hummel, daughter of David and Jodi Hummel of Schuylkill Haven, graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine on May 8 with a doctor of podiatric medicine degree.

Hummel was a 2009 graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School and graduated cum laude in 2013 with a bachelor of science degree in biology from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia before being accepted to Temple.While at Temple she was the president of the Students for Integrative Medicine Club, secretary of the Dermatology Club, vice president of the Technology Club and was a member of multiple professional organizations. She served as the student representative for the Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association and attended a conference on Temple's behalf in State College.She was a member of the Pi Mu Delta Leadership Society and was the recipient of the Leonard Hymes Memorial Fund Award at graduation.Dr. Hummel matched into a residency for foot and ankle surgery at the Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Philadelphia.
