Palmerton Area School District's board of directors approved several fiscal items during its meeting Tuesday night.

Action items included approval of:• A proposal for solicitor services from Sweet, Stevens, Katz and Williams LLP in accordance with their fee agreement.The fees are $150 per hour lawyer fee, $125 per hour legal assistant fee and $195 per hour for nonroutine matters). Payment comes from the district's general fund.The proposal does not constitute a contract with the firm, meaning they can be used at the district's discretion.• A contract agreement with B-Flat Entertainment Services, Brian N. Stephens, retroactive to March 24 for the 2017 junior high spring dance.• An agreement with Split Rock Resort for the Class of 2017 senior outing on June 15.• A bus transportation agreement with Mainstreet Leasing for the environmental club field trip to Hummelstown/Hershey on May 26.• An agreement with Wilkes University to support the reading specialist program.• A school photo agreement with Dan's Camera for the 2017-18 school year.
