Six defendants in pending DUI cases entered guilty pleas before Carbon County Judge Joseph J. Matika.

Shane James Perschy, 41, of Palmerton, was arrested on April 3, 2016, by Palmerton police following a traffic stop. At the stop Perschy became unruly. He also pleaded to resisting arrest. A test revealed a 0.15 BAC.Sentencing was deferred so Perschy can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Tucker William Mangiamele, 23, of Lehighton, pleaded to two counts of DUI. He was arrested on the first count on March 23, 2016, and the second on June 3, 2016, both by Lehighton police. In both cases a test revealed the presence of a controlled substance. He also pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, stemming from the first stop.Sentencing was deferred so Mangiamele could apply for the IPP.Shawn Dale Berger, 27, of Effort, was arrested on Sept. 7, 2015, along Grange Road in Franklin Township by state police at Lehighton. A test revealed the presence of a controlled substance.Sentencing was deferred so Berger can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Allison Lynn Williams, 25, of Wilkes-Barre, was arrested on Nov. 22, 2015, along Route 940 in Kidder Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.11 BAC.She was sentenced to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service. He will begin the jail term at 8 a.m. Feb. 16 and serve it straight.Garry Allen Dobson, 38, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on Aug. 5, 2015, along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township by state police at Fern Ridge. A test revealed a 0.20 BAC.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service.Scott Gregory Knoblach, 51, of Blakeslee, was arrested on Dec. 23, 2015, along Lake Drive by Kidder Township police. A test revealed a 0.14 BAC.He was placed on probation for six months and ordered to pay a fine of $300 and render 25 hours of community service.Those defendants sentenced must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
