Truck, three cars crash in Chestnuthill

A four-vehicle crash, involving a truck and fuel spill, occurred at 5:57 p.m. on Oct. 6 at the intersection of routes 209 and 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Isaias Colon, 79, of Bronx, New York, driving a 2015 Nissan Altima, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with a 1986 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by Frank L. Chambers, 50, of Palmerton.Following initial impact, the Altima began to rotate and collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer operated by Michael C. Lemke, 58, of Saylorsburg and a 2005 Chrysler Sebring driven by Jospeh F. Denardo, 77, of Bath.No one was injured. The crash caused a fuel spill closing the roadway for several hours, troopers said. Troopers cited Colon.Assisting at the scene were volunteers from the West End Fire Company, fire police and ambulance personnel and PennDOT.
