Pleasant Valley graduate Melissa Russo scored four goals and recorded her 100th career point at Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday, leading her team to a 5-2 victory at Marywood.

The Griffins trailed 2-1 before Russo banged in the game-tying goal in the second half. With 11:48 left to play, she tallied the go-ahead score.The junior, who was the Times News Field Hockey Player of the Year in 2013, added two insurance goals in the final 4:50 to seal the win.For the season, Russo now has 10 goals and two assists for 22 points. In nine games, she has registered 43 shots and 33 shots on goal. Russo, who was named to the first team all Colonial States Athletic Conference a year ago, has three game-winning goals. She is the fifth player in Griffin history to reach 100 points.Gwynedd Mercy currently has a record of 5-4.
