'Pawn Stars' expert to speak at LV museum

Autograph and rare document expert Stuart Lutz will speak at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum at 1 p.m. Sept. 24.

The hourlong program, "Authenticating History," will explain how national experts authenticate historical documents, and how they detect fakes and elaborate forgeries, and will include a display of authentic presidential documents for the public to view.Lutz has a 20-year career in the field of rare documents, autographs and expert appraisals and has gained national stature by appearing on the A&E History Channel show "Pawn Stars" as an expert authenticating autographs and rare documents.Copies of Lutz's book, "The Last Leaf," will be available for sale. This oral history book includes interviews by survivors or eyewitnesses of important events. Lutz blends their true tales with background information in a lively narrative.Admission is free to Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum/Lehigh County Historical Society members, $8 for adult nonmembers pay and $3 for nonmember children.The museum is located at 432 W.
