Lindsey Pekurny graduated summa cum laude from Green Mountain College in Vermont with a degree in environmental biology.

Pekurny earned presidential honors each year of her college career and upon graduation was awarded the Distinguished Achievement in Biology Senior Award.She is currently doing research in Cusuco National Park in Honduras.Pekurny graduated from Palmerton Area High School in 2012. She is the daughter of George and Erin Pekurny and the granddaughter of George and Linda Pekurny of Lehighton and Eileen Brady of Scranton.
