All are welcome.For more information or membership application, call 570-669-9919.Summit HillSeptic workshopKira Steber, borough secretary, announces that any Summit Hill residents who have on-lot home water or septic systems are invited to a workshop, hosted by the Penn State Extension, on Aug. 29.The workshop will be held from 1-3 p.m. and again at 6-8 p.m. at the Carbon County Emergency Management Agency, 1264 Emergency Lane, Nesquehoning.It will help residents understand and protect their water supply and treatment systems and ways to test and treat private water supplies.Discussion on septic system inspection and maintenance, as well as free drinking water testing for up to 60 registrants will also take place.The workshop is free and open to anyone in Carbon County but preregistration is required.To sign up, visit
