Jim Thorpe police are investigating a possible armed burglary that occurred just before 11 a.m. today.

The incident happened at a home in the unit block of West Fifth Street.Police are currently looking for the suspect, described by scanner reports as a tall, skinny white male, approximately 20 years old, wearing red shorts and a red handkerchief over his face and carrying a silver handgun.Anyone who sees the suspect or has information regarding the incident should call borough police at 570-325-4995.
