President Wilson Putt led a delegation of local Lions to last night's Lehighton Lions Club 40th anniversary dinner at the National Guard Armory in that community.Other members of the local service club in attendance were Joseph Curran, immediate past president, Richard Brown and Al Klitsch.An estimated 200 attended the fete and heard Jorge Bird of San Juan, second vice president of Lions International, speak of the great need for better relations between North and South America.Frank L. Kirkendall and Carl Bishop were presented charter monarch chevron awards during the dinner program, while Dr. Serg E. Grynkewich was presented a monarch award for 15 years of service.
